McGowan Advocacy Group Mission: Ensure that every child with a disability in California has timely access to the education, services, and home supports they need—through informed advocacy, training, and direct assistance to families.

  • $50 provides a parent with a 1:1 consultation on IHSS or IEP basics.

  • $150 funds translation and document preparation for a Regional Center intake.

  • $300 supports representation at a county IHSS assessment or an IEP meeting.

  • $750 underwrites a free community workshop for 25 parents.

  • $1,500 covers an urgent advocacy package for a family facing suspension/expulsion or IHSS denial.
